Insomnia could raise stroke risk, especially for younger adults
People infested with insomnia might have an increased risk of stroke, particularly if they’re young adults, a new, large study published in the journal Stroke suggests.
Over the course of four years, researchers found that insomnia seemed to raise the likelihood that someone is going to be hospitalised due to stroke by 54 percent. That risk of skyrocketed for the people between the ages of 18 and 34, who were eight times more probably to undergo strokes if they had insomnia when put next to their peers who got smart sleep, researchers found.
